Viva Macau Sportsbook' soccer lines are up all year round as clubs and national teams compete in national and international events. We offer 3-Way Bets, Asian Handicaps, Totals, and Exotic Singles year round.
Most soccer bets are settled after ninety minutes of play, which includes any time added by the Referee in respect of injuries or other stoppages. Extra Time, Golden Goals and Penalty Shoot-Outs are not included, unless otherwise specified.
In order for a bet on soccer to have "Action", you must place the bet before kickoff. Also, the match must not start before the scheduled time.
A match that is postponed or abandoned before 90 minutes of playtime will be void if it is not resumed within 12 hours at the same venue. If a game's venue does change, all bets placed before the market being revised will be void.
All soccer wagers placed at Viva Macau Sportsbook are governed by Viva Macau's Sportsbook Rules. These Rules lay out the specific terms and conditions for the settlement for soccer wagers and you should review them before placing any bets.
Straight Wagers
By far the most popular types of straight wagers offered on soccer matches are 3-Way Bets, Asian Handicaps and Totals.
A 3-Way Bet is similar to a Moneyline wager, except there is a draw option offered. For this reason, you will also hear this bet referred to as a Head-to-Head with Draw. There is no point adjustment is this type of bet, so you are betting on the unadjusted score at the end of the game.
To make soccer wagering more interesting, Viva Macau Sportsbook also offers Asian Handicap wagers. These are similar to a Point Spread in that the final score is adjusted to equate the abilities of two otherwise unequally matched teams. Your team must win by more than the adjustment, if you take the favour, or not lose by more than the adjustment, if you take the underdog. Unlike a point spread, however, the lines are often offered with a score adjustment in 1/2 point increments. This reduces a three-way win-lose-draw event to a bet with only two possible outcomes.
We will also offer a Split Handicaps, sometimes called a Splitball, on select events. This is a wager on the two quoted handicaps. Each imaginary bet will be determined in the same manner as a single ball handicap. Viva Macau Sportsbook’ software will automatically place two wagers, one on each result, when you choose a split handicap wager.
If you are not sure who is going to win the game, but have a good feel for the offensive and defensive capabilities of the teams, a Totals wager may be an appealing alternative. Also called an Over/Under wager, this is a bet on the combined final score of the event. You can bet that the sum of the two team's scores will be either higher (Over) or lower (Under) than the listed score. When the combined scores of both teams' equals the totals line the wager is graded "Push" and your account will be credited accordingly. Sometimes the oddsmaker will set the Over/Under at a multiple of 1/2 of a point and eliminate the possibility of a push.
Futures are offered on most major events. Futures for championships and cups will typically offer odds on the top ranked teams and a wager on "All Other Teams". The All Other Teams option is a wager on any other team for which odds have not been listed. Future Lines are updated and may not be available on Mondays.
World Cup qualification and finals, European qualifications and finals, and club league and cup competitions will offer Asian Handicaps, 3-Way Bet and Totals markets. Wagering options offered on other selected UEFA national competitions will be offered only with Asian Handicaps and Totals.
Exotic Singles
Exotic Singles come in many flavours and you can be sure that our lines will be packed with soccer propositions throughout the year.
Proposition wagers will typically be posted on the day of the event. A wager on the first / last player to score will only be considered "Action" if the player takes part in the game.
For a wager on the first / last team to score, own goals will be counted in favour of the team accredited with the score for the settlement of bets.
Combination Wagers
Combination wagers allow you to significantly increase your payout by linking together the outcome of several events. Asian Handicaps, Totals and Exotic Singles cannot be included in combination wagers, so many soccer wagers cannot be included in combinations. The notable exception are 3-Way Bet markets, which can be included in Parlays, If Wagers or Reverse Wagers.
